Jun 17 - 19, 2019  National Association of Development Organizations Research Foundation  National Regional Transportation Conference  - This event provides peer-to-peer learning for regional transportation planners, state DOT representatives, and their local and private sector partners working in multiple transportation modes. The conference provides training and networking opportunities on a variety of rural and small metropolitan transportation topics. With hands-on workshops, best practice panels, and facilitated networking sessions that feature peer trainers and expert speakers, the conference will offer training for organizations and individuals just beginning to work in transportation, as well as those with more experience.

Jun 26, 2019  TRB  TRB Webinar: Research and Lessons Learned Implementing Diverging Diamond Interchanges  - Organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Geometric Design, this webinar will discusss diverging diamond interchanges (DDIs). This webinar will discuss previous and current research into DDIs. The presenters will tie this research into the design phase in order to show how DDIs may be implemented. The presenters will also describe some of the lessons learned by practitioners.

Aug 4 - 7, 2019  Association for Commuter Transportation  TDM Committee Summer Meeting and ACT International Conference  - TRB is cosponsoring the TDM Committee Summer Meeting and ACT International Conference on August 4-7, 2019 in New York City, New York. The conference focuses on Transportation Demand Management, which include strategies to reduce congestion by shifting transportation demand to alternatives to single occupancy vehicles, shifting travel out of peak period, or shifting it to less crowded facilities. Attendees represent departments of transportation, municipalities, transportation management associations, metropolitan planning organizations, consultants, transit agencies, vendors, and other shared use mobility providers from all over the world.

Sep 10 - 13, 2019  TRB  6th International Conference on Women’s Issues in Transportation (WIiT 2019)  - This conference explores women’s perspectives, challenges, achievements, and opportunities with respect to travel and transportation. Session tracks include women’s travel behavior patterns; transportation planning and policy processes to consider women’s issues; women’s safety, personal security, and health considerations in transportation; and women and emerging transportation technologies. The conference provides an update on the progress and challenges in relation to women and mobility; explores how gender equality practices in transportation are increasing business and economics development; exchanges ideas on how public agencies can incorporate good gender equality policies and practices with approaches to oversee efforts and measure performance; and examines methods to address safety and security of women who are employed with or using transportation systems. Sep 15 - 18, 2019  TRB  12th TRB International Conference on Low-Volume Roads  - This conference examines new technologies and new techniques in the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and administration of low-volume roads. Sep 15 - 18, 2019  TRB  Performance and Data in Transportation Decision Making  - TRB, in partnership with AASHTO and AMPO, is sponsoring a conference on the use of data to inform decisions in transportation planning and management. The conference will specifically address the methods and practice of using performance indicators and measures data driven decision-making in planning, programming and systems management to assist agencies grappling with newly adopted federal requirements for performance based decision making in planning, asset management and other areas. The conference will draw practitioners and research professionals from a wide array of backgrounds and organizations to explore the methods and practice of data-driven decision-making in an interactive and engaging forum.  Event  Atlanta
