Mar 9 - 12, 2019  League of American Bicyclists  20th Annual National Bike Summit  - The National Bike Summit is a major annual bike advocacy event, uniting the voices of bicyclists on Capitol Hill and showcasing successes on the ground, learning how they happen, and exploring ways to expand their reach. The theme of this year's summit is "SHIFT: Accelerating the Movement to Build a Bicycle Friendly America for Everyone."

Event  Arlington 
Apr 2 - 4, 2019  FTA  FTA's Drug and Alcohol Program National Conference  - This free three-day program will provide background on Procedures for Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs (49 CFR Part 40) and Prevention of Alcohol Misuse and Prohibited Drug Use in Transit Operators (49 CFR Part 655). The conference will offer attendees the opportunity to choose from a variety of sessions, including training for beginner and advanced Drug and Alcohol Program Managers, how to run a compliant drug and alcohol program, questions and answers with industry experts, an update from the Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance and many more.

Event  Milwaukee 
Sep 10 - 13, 2019  TRB  6th International Conference on Women’s Issues in Transportation (WIiT 2019)  - This conference explores women’s perspectives, challenges, achievements, and opportunities with respect to travel and transportation. Session tracks include women’s travel behavior patterns; transportation planning and policy processes to consider women’s issues; women’s safety, personal security, and health considerations in transportation; and women and emerging transportation technologies. The conference provides an update on the progress and challenges in relation to women and mobility; explores how gender equality practices in transportation are increasing business and economics development; exchanges ideas on how public agencies can incorporate good gender equality policies and practices with approaches to oversee efforts and measure performance; and examines methods to address safety and security of women who are employed with or using transportation systems.
