Transportation Safety Planning
The Transportation Safety Planning Working Group (TSPWG) is an informal, ad hoc partnership of U.S. DOT agencies (Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and professional associations representing state DOT, safety, traffic engineering and planning communities. Trends in Intake of Energy and Macronutrients--United States, 1971-2000
Unhealthy diets and sedentary behaviors are the primary causes of deaths attributable to obesity. Evaluating trends in dietary intake is an important step in understanding the factors that contribute to the increase in obesity. To assess trends in intake of energy, protein, carbohydrate, total fat, and saturated fat during 1971-2000, CDC analyzed and data from four National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys. This report summarizes the results of that analysis.

Useful Practices for Coordinated Human Services Transportation
The Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility (CCAM) recognizes that transportation can be the major obstacle for people with disabilities, older adults, children and youth, and other populations that need various social and health services. Interagency partnerships are essential to coordinate travel needs to help increase the quality of life for these populations as well as for agencies to provide their services effectively and efficiently. The CCAM has launched the Useful Practices application to serve as the central information resource on useful strategies to increase efficiency, simplify access, and reduce duplication for social service providers, transportation providers, and service users.

Washington State DOT Performance Measurement Library
WSDOT is not alone in using performance measurement and strategic planning to promote accountability. Almost every state uses strategic planning in one form or another, and all DOTs use performance measurements at various programmatic levels. To help practitioners make effective comparisons of measures and reporting systems, WSDOT maintains a list of 51 state, commonwealth, and federal district transportation authorities and their online performance measurement and strategic planning mechanisms.
